15 days between Mali and Burkina Faso, from Bamako to Timbuktu, the Dogon Country in Senufo, you discover two of their rich history and their peoples. Cotton fields in the region of Sikasso in the beautiful Djenne, Bandiagara Escarpment of the Mountains Hombori, Mali will offer a wide variety of landscapes. In Burkina Faso, "land of honest men", you will go to meet people animist rituals and traditions. Beyond the men, this circuit is also a great opportunity to discover the natural wonders of the country: Lake, waterfalls, forests, peaks and cliffs.




  • Day 1- Europe - Bamako

Arrival in the evening: reception at airport and transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 2- Bamako - Ségou

You are leaving the capital in the morning and walk through the countryside south of the country to Ségou for lunch: a charming colonial town rocked by the River Niger. You will discover Ségoukoro, old Segou "old Segou" cradle of the Empire of King Biton Coulibaly: the royal palace and two mosques, including one in riverside, topped with ostrich eggs!

  • Day 3- Ségou - Djenné

Morning departure for Djenne. Arrival in Djenne impress you with the crossing of the ferry and the town built entirely of adobe, traditional technique.

  • Day 4- Djenné - Mopti

You learn Djenne, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, with its maze of narrow streets and its mosque, the world's largest building constructed in the ground. If a Monday is market day, one of the most colorful of the entire region, the central square in front of the mosque. You will drive in the afternoon to reach Mopti, the "Venice of Mali," crossroads of peoples and civilizations at the confluence of the rivers Niger and Bani.

  • Day 5/6- Mopti - Bandiagara - Nombori - Dourou - Begnematou - Indeli - Yabatalou - Ende (Pays Dogon)

Two days of hearts Dogon: Mopti is the basis for the Dogon Bandiagara beginning with ancient capital of the Empire Toucouleur. Then you reach Nombori, you pass the big dune and explore the area before reaching Ende, one of the most beautiful villages in the southern part of the cliff.

  • Day 7- Ende - Teli - Kani Kombole - Bankass - Koro - Ouahigouya (Pays Dogon and move to Burkina)

You leave the Bandiagara Escarpment from here and that you leave behind Mali. From Southern Dogon Country, after visiting the remaining villages, you take the track of laterite which will lead you through the no-man's-land between the two countries, you pass the border and you finally arrive in Ouahigouya first step in the 'Land men of integrity.

  • Day 8- Ouahigouya - Manéga - Ouagadougou

After visiting the house of Naba Kango, former royal compound of the Mossi, you take the road that takes you to the capital, Ouagadougou. Along the way, you stop in the village of Manega, where you will visit the museum dedicated to the history and culture of the Mossi. Then you arrive in Ouagadougou, where you enjoy the craft center and the general market, colorful.

  • Day 9- Ouagadougou - Boromo - Bobo Dioulasso

You leave the capital for the West Country. On the road in Bobo-Dioulasso, you are a first step in the village of Boni, home to an old church Bobo, then you will see the village of Koro Bobo, perched on a rock. Second city, Bobo-Dioulasso is a green and pleasant with mainly mud-brick mosque dating back more than a century, and the music museum. You go see the old town and browse the large market in search of homemade specialties Burkina.

  • Day 10- Bobo Dioulasso - Pays Senoufo - Banfora

Since Bobo, you take the road to the extreme south-western Burkina Faso, to arrive in Senufo country. Along the way, you stop at the traditional village of Koumi Bobo is particularly known for its style church Bobo and his buildings.

  • Day 11- Banfora - Sindou

In the region of Banfora are few natural treasures as the peaks of Sindou and eroded Fadébougou domes, waterfalls Karfiguela, crossing the same time the sugar cane fields.   • Day 12/13- Pays Senoufo

Here begins an immersion for 2 days in Senufo country. You will discover particular Niansogoni village troglodyte closely resembles the Dogon villages of Mali. Moreover, the Cliff Banfora is thought to be the geological origin of the Bandiagara Escarpment. Here lives a population of blacksmiths, sculptors and weavers. Can you continue then to another village troglodyte Negueni.

  • Day 14- Pays Senoufo - Sikasso - Bamako (retour au Mali)

Back in Mali: from the south of the country and arrive in the city of Sikasso. Along the way you've visited the caves of Missirikoro, the setting for the fetishists and Muslims. Compared to other regions of Mali, the region, nicknamed "the vegetable garden of Mali", offers lush nature. Since Sikasso, then you are going to reach the last stage of your journey, Bamako, crossing the greenest region of Mali. Enjoy the many cotton fields, the first economic resource of Mali.

  • Day 15- Bamako - Europe

Before boarding the plane that takes you back to Europe in the evening, you'll have all day to enjoy the capital, including its National Museum and its various markets.
